Welcome to Growth Work

If you find yourself unable to cope with difficult emotions, distressing thoughts, and tension in your relationships, psychotherapy may be the next step toward wellness. As a licensed (bilingual English/Spanish) clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, I have made it my life’s mission to decrease stigma related to the spectrum of mental health and promote healing and empowerment for the individuals and communities I serve. Together, we will explore what overwhelms you, makes you feel unsafe, or dis-empowers you. I will encourage you to be curious about yourself, embrace change, find balance, regain authenticity, and use your strengths to empower your life. We will collaborate to design an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs.

Services

Trauma-focused Psychotherapy

Specific events that made you feel threatened, helpless, or unsafe in the past may have an impact on you today. Trauma can have a significant influence on your ability to manage emotions and function effectively in relationships. Learn more about how this approach can help.

Group Psychotherapy

Many people find themselves feeling isolated in their distress. Sharing with others and being open to feedback encourages personal insight and growth. In group process therapy, we aim to establish a cohesive space where curiosity, learning, and respect facilitate healing.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

We are a constellation of our past, present, and hopes for the future, and of our understanding of ourselves and connections to others. We can often feel intense conflicts in these areas. However, there lies the opportunity to learn and grow to become your most authentic self. This analytic approach focuses on gaining insight and becoming empowered to make changes in your life.

Medication Management

Do you have questions about starting medication? Psychiatric medication can help alongside psychotherapy to improve symptoms and functioning. Work with a psychiatric nurse practitioner to find the right medication for you today.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are interrelated. It can be difficult to manage cycles of distressing thoughts or maladaptive behaviors alone. Together we can use evidence-based techniques to examine and challenge patterns in your thoughts and behaviors to improve mood.

Organizational Consultation, Media, and Business Inquiries

One of the goals that drives me as a clinical psychologist is reducing the stigma around the spectrum of mental health. I am available for public speaking, panels, workshops, and presentations at your event or organization.
